Let me tell you plain and simple, you don't have to put on one pound over the christmas holidays and if you do, you can quickly get it off by January 31st. Here's how.
During december do three 30 minute intense resistance training sessions a week. Must be short and intense sessions anytime of the day. You can use free weights, machines, dumbells, body weight or rubber resistance. Ask any trainer worth his/her salt to help you here.
Eat your favorite desert/treats along with your normal healthy meals, don't replace a full meal with 100% junk.
Eat your high calorie xmas treats in small amounts rather than large chunks.
Before every meal drink 12 ounces of room temperature water.
With every meal consume the food groups in this order, fruits/veg- fats-protein-carbs-sugars
Here's what to do in January.
Give away every bit of left over christmas treats. That which is not fit for consumption through away.
Put away all alcohol until the crop over season
Throw away unwanted deserts/treats
Start the flushing process by drinking half your body weight in ounces of water daily
Avoid sweet drinks and sodas at all cost
Maintain the 3 resistance training sessions either with yourself or with a training program worth the investment
Add two 30 minute intense cardio sessions weekly
January meal plan
Week 1. use only fruits/veg/lean proteins and water. Your carbs source are the fruits and veg
Week 2. Introduce healthy fats like almonds for snacks.
Week 3. Introduce only plant base carbs in small amounts like ground provisions
Week 4. Treat yourself to occasional high calorie meal twice in that week
You should be back to your pre-season weight by feb 1st
Good luck. You can do it.
